This Michigan Food Truck Is Serving the Ultimate Comfort Bowls
Michigan’s mobile dining scene is booming. From curated events like Grand Rapids’ Rolling Out Food Truck Festival to destination spots like The Little Fleet in Traverse City, and Saline’s Food Truck Fest near Ann Arbor, the state is packed with fresh flavors on four wheels.
Lately, I’ve been eyeing a couple newcomers in Grand Rapids: Cousins Maine Lobster is serving up rolls stacked with wild-caught lobster, and Neko Taiyaki brings something totally different—Japanese fish-shaped waffles filled with sweet or savory goodness.
But when it comes to the best mobile kitchen in Michigan, one Detroit-based spot has earned top honors.

According to Lovefood.com, Delectabowl is the No. 1 food truck in the state.
Their team dug through customer reviews, awards, and firsthand taste tests to find the top truck in every state—choosing menus that, in their words, “rival the nation’s best-loved restaurants.”

What’s on the Delectabowl Menu?
This Detroit favorite focuses on comfort food done right: fresh, hearty, and packed in a bowl. Just a few of the many items they serve up are the Creole Bowl with Andouille sausage, shrimp, chicken, and stewed Cajun veggies over brown rice—or the Chicken Tortilla Bowl with chipotle salsa, black beans, corn salad, and queso fresco.

Here's Lovefood's praise for Delectabowl:
A heap of healthy food served in a bowl is the order of the day at Detroit’s aptly named Delectabowl. You’ll often find the eye-catching blue truck stationed in the city’s Campus Martius Park, serving steaming bowls of Michigan-grown produce. Topping the menu is the Comfort Bowl, which has a base of house-made cornbread with slow-cooked pulled pork piled on top, plus coleslaw, Cheddar, and barbecue sauce. Veggie options and seasonal specials are available too.
