Corewell Health Gets Shoutout From Criminal Minds Star After ER Visit
Criminal Minds is arguably one of the most recognizable TV Shows to come out of the early 2000s and is one of the few shows from that time to still be on the air. While I personally have never seen the show, I know plenty about it since my roommate in college had a massive crush on Matthew Gray Gubler.
However, the standout star of the series is Paget Brewster, who has played FBI Agent Emily Prentiss on and off since 2005 and has also appeared in Friends, Community, and more. On January 28th, Brewster was in Grand Rapids and had to make an emergency trip to the ER and she let everyone know on X/Twitter how great her care was.
Watch Your Step
On February 1st, Brewster took to X/Twitter and made two tweets documenting a pretty brutal injury she received after slipping on ice and fracturing her elbow. She posted a photo of her X-ray, stating, "...Thank you to everyone at Corewell Grand Rapids Michigan ER. Surgery soon in LA. I'm on heavy pain meds watching @BachelorABC..."
Based on the photos, it is a pretty serious and painful break. On the 31st she posted a photo of her arm in a sling and thanked Criminal Minds, her friends, family, and fans for all their support. Brewster's husband, Steve Damstra, is from Grand Rapids, so one can assume that's why Brewster was around here. She has 538k followers on X.
Corewell Health
It isn't all that surprising that she found the care at Corewell Health exceptional. Corewell Health, which is the new name for the hospital that was formerly Spectrum Health and Beaumont Health, has received numerous awards in recent years, with 12 Corewell Health hospitals being recognized by U.S. News & World Report's Best Hospitals 2023-2024.
