A mother in Pontiac, Michigan, allegedly abandoned her 3 children in their home to live alone for nearly 4 years. A 15-year-old boy, a 13-year-old girl, and a 12-year-old girl will left alone to fend for themselves in deplorable conditions.

The mother, strangers, or food delivery drivers would stop by once a week to drop off meals so the kids could eat. No cleaning, personal care, or laundry supplies were ever dropped off.

Trash was piled 4 feet high, human feces was all over the home, the children's clothes were soiled, hair was matted, and toenails were so long it affected how the children walked. The kids stopped attending school 3 years ago and had no personal hygiene training. According to Oakland County Sheriff's deputies, the house wasn't fit for animals let alone children.

According to FOX 17, 34-year-old mother of three, Kelli Bryant, was previously charged with 3 counts of first-degree child abuse for allegedly abandoning her kids.

Bryant receieved nearly $30,000 in welfare payments from January of 2022 through February of 2025 that prosecutors says she obtained by fraud. Three counts of welfare fraund have now been added to Bryants charges. An Oakland County Judge has also warned Bryant not to contact or intimidate the children in anyway. The prosecutor, in addition to all the previous charges is looking to terminating Bryant's parental rights
