Big Honor for Birmingham's Big Rock Italian Chophouse
That honor belongs to Big Rock Italian Chophouse in Birmingham.
The restaurant is housed inside a meticulously restored, historic 11,000-square-foot former Grand Trunk Western Railroad depot. Big Rock officially made its debut in metro Detroit in July 2025.

FSR praises the chophouse for blending historic architectural preservation with modern upscale design, calling special attention to its massive central bar, USDA Prime steaks, fresh chops, and stellar service.
Beyond steaks, you'll find high-end Italian comfort food featuring handmade pastas like Rigatoni Bolognese, Truffle Goat Cheese Ravioli, and Pennette Alla Vodka. The menu also features seafood delicacies such as butter-poached king crab, lobster tail, and fresh branzino.
