If you're a fan of Michigan State Men's basketball, it's no secret the last couple of seasons have been a bit of a letdown compared to the heights Tom Izzo has established as the status quo since the team's championship season in 2000.

Despite that loss to Memphis, the Spartans pulled off their first big win against North Carolina, their long-time rival and the team that knocked them out of March Madness the year prior. Other key wins include a big win over a hot Nebraska team and Ohio State.
