Where Spirit Halloween Stores Have Popped Up Around West Michigan This Year

Before it was officially fall, Spirit Halloween banners were already up in many empty storefronts around West Michigan. But now that October is nearly here, it's safe to address the elephant in the outlet mall. The store where you'll find all your official and off-brand costumes for the Halloween season.

Here are a few of this year's popular costumes, plus a few unintentionally funny ones you'll see plenty of this fall. Hockey TV shows were all the rage this year thanks to Heated Rivalry and Off Campus; K-pop Demon Hunters has stayed popular; you may see men in boxers with hearts on them thanks to the book series Dungeon Crawler Carl; and comic book heroes are always a hit.

Then there are the usual costumes that are available every year: cop, hot nurse, prisoner, a weird inflatable costume, whatever suits you. Around West Michigan, there are four locations on this side of Michigan:

Walker: 555 Center Drive Northwest, Walker, MI 49544

Grand Rapids - Centerpointe: 3665 28th Street SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49512

Grandville: 4515 Canal Avenue SW, Grandville, MI 49418

Norton Shores: 5663 Harvey Street, Muskegon, MI 49444

Both the Norton Shores and Grandville locations have changed since last year. Not to get too far ahead of things, but last year, the Walker location also turned into the first Spirit Christmas.

It remains to be seen which locations stick around into the new year, but you may want to get familiar with where these holiday shops are.
