‘Viral Sensation’ Handheld Chicken and Waffles Restaurant Opens in Grand Rapids This Week

No fork required! A new restaurant selling portable fried chicken dishes opening up in Grand Rapids this week!
Chick’nCone Opening Up in Grand Rapids
This past summer we told you that West Michigan's first Chick’nCone location would be opening at 2090 Celebration Drive NE, Suite 124...
We now know when that will be!
The fast-casual restaurant chain was launched in 2014 by Jonathan Almanzar and Josh Lanier in Colorado and then New York.
Primarily a food-truck and catering concept to start, the chain has grown to 24 brick-and-mortar locations across the U.S. and even in Dubai!
This will be West Michigan's first Chick'nCone restaurant. The other Michigan location is on the east side of the state in Madison Heights.
Chick'nCone's first brick and mortar location in New York City got a lot of media buzz and overall the chain has gotten a lot of attention, being called a "viral sensation" for its Instagrammable menu items.

What Kind of Food Does Chick'nCone Serve?
Well, as you might have guessed, chicken in a cone! Crispy fried chicken is tossed with your choice of sauce and served in a hand-rolled waffle cone.
Sauce options include: Cinna-Maple, Kick'nRanch, Buffalo Blue, BBQ, Peri Peri (spicy South African chili sauce), Yell BBQ (sweet and tangy mustard based BBQ).
You can also order a fried chicken sandwich or chicken tenders.
Sides include Cajun-seasoned French fries, buttery Cajun-seasoned corn, and mac and cheese.
And don't forget dessert! Chick'nCone serves vanilla, chocolate, and caramel shakes made with waffle cone pieces.
Other locations have also featured specials, like "Back to School Cereal Cones".

When Does Chick'nCone Grand Rapids Open?
Originally Chick'nCone had originally been slated to open in Fall of 2022... That didn't happen. But the wait is over! Chick'nCone GR has announced its grand opening!
According to the new restaurant's Instagram page, Chick'nCone will open to the public Thursday, March 9, 2023, at 11:00 a.m.
