Here’s When Michiganders Can See The Blood Worm Moon
Nothing beats looking up at the nighttime sky in Michigan when you're in the middle of nowhere.
I do this anytime I go camping.

Without all the bright city lights you can see so many beautiful stars and constellations.
And soon Michiganders will have a chance to look up and see a blood worm moon.
What Is A Blood Worm Moon?
Don't let the name scare you.
According to NPR, the blood worm moon is a total lunar eclipse and will be the first in three years.
A total lunar eclipse occurs when the sun, Earth and the moon align in roughly a straight line, with Earth right in the middle.
A blood worm moon, gets its name from the reddish hue of its glow and the time of year it's occurring.
Here's When Michiganders Can See The Blood Worm Moon
Everyone from coast to coast will have the chance to see the blood worm moon as long as there are no clouds blocking the view.
Here in Michigan, you should be able to see it with the naked eye or by using a telescope.
The eclipse will begin at 11:57 p.m. on Thursday, March 13, and last until 3:31 a.m.
So, if you're a night owl or someone who struggles to fall asleep, you now have something to look forward to.
For me, with my 4 a.m. alarm clock, it already comes early enough, and I might have to pass on seeing this for myself.
