If you’re a fan of those double chocolate chunk cookie, get excited because Muskegon County is about to get its own Costco, and it’s going to be huge. (Literally.)

Costco is opening its fourth West Michigan location later this month in Fruitport, and at 152,000 square feet, it’s one of the largest Costco stores in the entire country.

So if you’ve ever wanted to stock up on enough paper towels, muffins, or laundry detergent to survive the apocalypse (or just a Michigan winter), this might become your new happy place.
The new store is located at 6110 S. Harvey Street in Fruitport, right between E. Sternberg and E. Pontaluna roads, near El Burrito Loco.

Good nice, since it's so huge this Costco will have everything you’d expect and then some: including a bakery, gas station, pharmacy, optical department, hearing aid center, and tire center. Basically, if you can dream it, Costco probably sells it in bulk.

And half of the excitement of a new Costco isn’t just filling your card with a 48 count box of Poptarts, it’s their own Costco snacks. People practically lose their minds over Costco’s bakery (those cookies? The sheet cakes?). And of course, no trip is complete without grabbing that legendary $1.50 hot dog and soda combo. A deal that’s never gone up in price, no matter how much everything else has.

Costco purchased the 32-acre lot back in January as part of a plan to expand in West Michigan, joining other locations in Wyoming, Grand Rapids, and Kalamazoo. The Fruitport store will employ about 220 people and carry around 4,000 products, meaning plenty of chances to discover new favorites, or buy enough coffee to caffeinate the entire neighborhood.

For Muskegon County residents, this is a big win. No more long drives to stock up or wandering through crowded aisles miles away and now, you can snag all your bulk bargains a little closer to home starting on October 29th.

So get your membership card ready, grab a cart (the big one, you’ll need it), and make some room in the pantry. Costco is coming to Fruitport, and it’s bringing all the samples, savings, and signature deals we know and love.
