People seem to have it all mixed up, and as a corndog connoisseur, it seems like SOMEONE needs to set the record straight about some of the best you'll find in West Michigan.

So if you're one of the many people (or news outlets) that are confused about the new Pronto Pup location that has been announced to be opened in Grand Rapids, it's not the same one as the one have known and loved by the lake in Grand Haven.

What's the difference between the Pronto Pup businesses with basically the same name in West Michigan?

However, the new Pronto Pup storefront that is opening in Grand Rapids is not afflicted with the iconic Grand Haven stand that has been serving up pups for $1.75 (cash only) for 78 years. The newer of the two Pronto Pup businesses started as a food truck that can be frequently found around Grand Rapids, and is now upgrading to their own storefront later in 2025. Also, it's okay if you were confused about the two locations being different businesses since they're both practically named the same thing. Pronto Pups GR posted on their Facebook to clear up some of that confusion:

So either way, Grand Rapids is getting a Pronto Pup storefront and we can enjoy it year round, even if it's slightly different than the one we all know and love in Grand Haven.
