I recently stumbled across this truly unique vehicle for sale in West Michigan and immediately thought, "I think I need that!"

Truth is, I don't. Plus, I don't have the skills necessary to restore it to its former glory, but this is the perfect vehicle/project for the right person.

Trolley For Sale in West Michigan

I was scrolling through my Facebook page, minding my own business when I happened upon this listing on Facebook Marketplace.

The listing is for a 1986 GMC Trolley Bus. (I don't know if that was a good year for them, but that's beside the point.)

The seller says that the trolley has had quite a life, having been previously owned by the Kentucky Derby and the Charleston Tea Plantation (now called the Charleston Tea Garden). Along the way, somewhere, the trolley earned a name - "Man O War" - which is still painted on its front fenders(? Wheel wells? Quarter panels? Whatever you call those things on the front sides of the thing.)

The trolley made its way to Michigan two years ago and doesn't seem like it's been used much since.

It definitely needs some work, according to the seller,

engine runs a bit rough, but she moves down the road. Batteries are crap, needs a jump to start.

While the outside looks a little rough (but could definitely be fixed up with a little TLC, the inside looks pretty good (still in need of some work). It's completely finished in oak with cast iron chairs.

It also boasts air conditioning and an intercom system. (I'm thinking that this thing would be GREAT for brewery or winery tours, or even just to take people on historical tours of downtown Grand Rapids.)
