Will There Still be Ice at Rosa Parks Rink Over Christmas?
We all thought that we had a good chance for a White Christmas this year. Well, think again. Nope!
A warming trend has temperatures above freezing, in the low to mid 40s for awhile, so it's going to be a green Christmas, again!
What about ice skating? Rosa Parks Circle in downtown Grand Rapids is a prime place for people to skate, especially over the holidays. Also, the new Holland Ice Park has just opened and skaters are loving it.

With the warm up, will people be treading water?
No the won't! It should be fine skating ice.
WHY?
Rosa Parks Ice rink has two compressors that will keep the ice, ice, up to the mid 40s. The Holland Ice Park can keep their ice up to 50 degrees. So that is good news for holiday skaters. Two great outdoor rinks ready for you.
And, if you're not into outdoor ice skating, how else can you entertain the family and keep them happy?
The Grand Public Museum and the Grand Rapids Children's Museum are two good choices.
The downtown Public Museum has their Snowflake Break happening with fun for little ones and big ones. The dinosaurs are still there, as well as a massive Lego display in the streets of Old Grand Rapids and Grand Junctions.
There are also giant versions of games like Kerplunk, Chess, and Lincoln Logs. What fun.
Don't forget the newest drive-thru Christmas Lights Display in Hudsonville, Joyful Lights.
It's an incredible 30-minute drive through light display, synchronized to music.
There are plenty of fun things happening for the whole family.
Merry Christmas!
